a guy like Strasburg was going to need TJ surgery sooner or later. better for the Nats it happen now, while he the team still sucks.

For sure. Also, I have little doubt that Strasburg will still be an effective pitcher once he recovers from TJ surgery. That 100 mph fastball, however, may be gone forever.

Considering Cincinnati is the Tea Party's Midwest Capital (or it seems that way at least), I'm surprised it wasn't a Reds dude. All the more reason to crush St. Louis I suppose.

Man, I wish St. Louis could put together a team like the Phillies. I'm so jealous of the Zeiglers.

Also, to revisit the Cueto thing - make that a career-ending injury to Jason LaRue.  Not like he wasn't close to retirement already, but still.

Looking back at this thread and I can't believe I bought into the Mariners hype at the beginning of the season... nailed the Red Sox though.
