You know, after watching that video a few more times, I'll say this: Alcantara's attack is definitely more hardcore, just not nearly as damaging.

I'm still surprised he didn't drop the bat.  How has that not happened anywhere yet?  A dude charging the mound with the bat?  Even in insanity, there is some level of discretion in baseball.

For sure. Also, I have little doubt that Strasburg will still be an effective pitcher once he recovers from TJ surgery. That 100 mph fastball, however, may be gone forever.
