E.T. i remember sitting there forever thinking when the hell is this thing going to start already. Hey, i had no clue what a trailer was at that age.

I remember seeing E.T.  I got so upset when he was in that tent/hospital my mom had to walk me out of the theatre.
Sounds like someone was working as a conduit for nature's natural vengeance.  Just like Jesus.  And some of the others.

My dad took me to see Firefox.

It BLEW MY MIND.  I think I was 6?

There was another in there, called Never Cry Wolf about a guy who has to live up north (Yukon?  Alaska?) and study wolves for a year.  I remember a weird micturating scene, where he's marking his territory.

I remember liking that movie a lot.

Well it's been a long time since I've had my favorite drink

Ghostbusters was my first movie, when I was four.  Scared the living bejeezus out of me, I don't know why my folks thought it was a good idea.

Yikes -- I watched this with my 5-year-old recently!

Me too!  My daughter went nuts.  Zuul made an impact.

I appear to be in the right demographic. Flash Gordon and Watership Down were among the first movies I saw. I think I saw them at the same time. My uncle took me to one and maybe decided it was too scary and moved me to another theater, decided that was too scary, and then moved me to another. I don't know exactly what happened there. I know they both scared the bejeezus out of me. And intrigued me. Pete's Dragon was also one.

BTW, Never Cry Wolf was one of my very favorite movies as a kid. I saw it again, about five years ago, and I was surprised at how good it was. It has some depth to it that I didn't quite grasp when I was a kid.

And we all know how well Flash Gordon has held up over the years!
I can hear you judging me.

I just know I was scared as hell and fell asleep

I also remember being scared and queasy at Dark Crystal
