Foremost,

about which there may still be lingering questions concerning KrĂĽgel of Men, Rafael Santana...

and the nature of the background vocals

Thanks to Tom also, for sending me down the path of the Felt Letters' 600000 Bands 7", among other musical avenues.

I'm interested in related purchases you've made, shows you've attended, movies you've screened—whatever paths The Best Show has sent you tumbling down aimlessly. For instance, is it the fault of the FOT that Clifford is no longer available on Netflix?

This is on my car. People with bumper stickers usually annoy me, but this one was just too damn colorful to pass up.

I've seen Clifford, A Family Underground (the ICP thing),  Mr. Brooks, Fitzcarraldo, and I have Death Wish 3 in my NetFlix queue, all thanks to the Best Show. Also, I doubt I would have any Black Flag/Minutemen/MDC/Minor Threat records were it not for Hammerhead.

Nixonland. I'm half-way through and still wondering why I'm reading it.

For Christmas I asked for and got the Big Dipper anthology with tom's liner notes.  I would be happy to purchase some music by The Cherry Valance, if I could find any, but as it stands now I attained some through *cough* alternative means.  I had a copy of "Motherless Brooklyn" by Jonathan Lethem, intending to read it, but actually read it after Tom said it was good.  'Tis.  Rented Clifford.  That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's more.

The Timewaster Letters

The Big Dipper Anthology

The Steve Coogan box set (I was already a fan but wouldn't have known it existed if not for the discussions here)

I bought "Do It" from iTunes right after the first time Tom played it, not realizing that I'd be hearing it once a week whether I owned it or not.  (I'm not complaining, I still listen to it on my own initiative quite a lot.)

Ram. I never gave solo McCartney a chance until I took up Tom's recommendation. I dug it and have since given other McCartney material a try. Mainly Wings. Still can't get into a lot of his recent stuff.

I don't like it as much as DOG

Saw Chain and The Gang live and picked up:

Saw Todd Barry in Providence after his last Best Show appearance (knew about Todd Barry before I started listening to TBS, but would have missed his show if it wasn't for TBS)

Haha. Twice, I've come very close to buying this book on the strength of Tom's recommendation before realizing that I would probably regret it.

I got the "Where the Action Is!" LA Nuggets compilation 4 months ago and I don't think I've listened to the whole thing yet.

I know! It totally rhymes, and it gives a succinct picture as to the identity and interests of the person who is singing.
