Rick Barber's NOT afraid to be rude to Abe Lincoln, and he's NOT afraid to stand up to those clowns in Washington.

The voice over guy sounds like he should be doing a spot for a bad local steakhouse.  "...And stop by our salad bar, with all the fixins"

I would pay $5 to see how accurate that shooting was.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Well, as a single issue voter where the only issue is my right to shoot machine guns, she has my vote.

Isn't that a cameo by Dale Peterson near the end of the second Rick Barber ad?

It definitely is. He's also in the crowd of patriots that gather about midway through.

My new favorite line in Gather Your Armies is when Rick repeats "a tea tax" and it comes across like he thinks it was the dumbest thing to rebel over something so small.

A couple of years ago a senator from my state had one attack ad and it was all she needed: She accused her rival of being involved with atheistic fundraisers.

Who, Elizabeth Dole?  She lost that election, so I think maybe she needed more.

I forget where, but yesterday I saw that the Dale Peterson and Rick Barber ads were both made by the same guy, along with a third equally nutty campaign for some other teabagger.  Well, he's three for three: They all lost their primaries.  Not that I think this signifies any special enlightenment on the voters' part, but still: [SFX: Nelson Muntz laugh]

That's right. I was thinking it was Kay Hagen who was running the ads against Dole.

Damn I wanted to post that.

I like that his name is actually Basil Marceaux.com. We want the real flag, the one with 3 stripes!
