Sometimes we all need to take a break and ask why we do what we do and how we can do it better. Rather than take this personally LDP should use this time to his advantage, perhaps transform from Larry Da Perv to Larry Da Policeman: Radio Cop.

"Hey dere Tom, It's Larry Da Policeman - I have a radio arrest warrant for Spike".

Another option is Larry the Punter where he tries out for the Jets special teams unit.

Larry's had plenty of warnings!

I think he's funny, but very few people can successfully get away with multiple calls per episode.

Yeah, but who can resist a hopeless romantic like Larry?  Doesn't your heart go out to him?  even a little?

Here's what I wrote on the Spike thread:

"I respect the fact that Tom's upset about his ostensible "regulars" taking their persona to other territories, so my vote above for "yes" comes with the condition that LDP and/or Spike turn their acts around with that in mind. To be honest, it's kinda weird voting for Spike; I don't know what I get out his calls."

I interpreted the ban as not that Tom minded that they took their show on the road; it's that they were doing more than one show.

Using WFMU air-time to build the brand, so to speak.

Colonel Panic:

I see. Either way, I'd say I'm in the same position. Vote stands.

Sounds like a late-season ratings grab to me.

I'm a little surprised that LDP is doing so much better in the voting than Spike.
I'm in my late 50's.

I don't see what the problem with Larry is. He's a funny dude. Some of his lines during his radio date ("What are your dreams and aspirations?") were some of the funniest Best Show moments in awhile. Sure he's not always on point but he's not the total waste of time that Spike is. I mean honestly Spike is terrible because he has no desire to play along with what TBS show is. He's just using it as a platform for his tired, repetitive rants. They were novel enough to be funny in the beginning but it's truly old now.

So personally I'd just say that Larry needs to step it up a bit but to me banning him would be a shame because he's a genuinely funny dude sometimes.

And what about when Larry called Terre T, "milady"? huh? huh? Charm up the kazoo, that guy.

Or maybe Spike is playing along too much, yeah?  Personally, not liking Hilary Clinton never gets old for me.

cavorting, that line made me totally lose it.  More reason to reduce LDP's ban.

Yeah I'm sure that was a real highlight for Therese, too.
