Another NYC dump closes & people are inexplicably sad
« on: December 11, 2010, 05:16:55 PM »
The Mars Bar is reportedly closing.

I throw this out there since it's being likened to CBGBs getting turned into a John Varvatos boutique. Boo hoo, what a dive. They're building lofts there. I always love when people bitch about the "real" New York getting destroyed.

New York just hasn't been the same since the Williamsburg waterfront garbage transfer facility closed. Now, they play concerts on the park they built there. Oh wait, this is an improvement.

Mars Bar was the only place where the air was 65% hepatitis.

I learned a lot of hard lessons in that facility.

I once applied for a barback job there.  Never heard back.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
