Least essential albums of 2010 article at the AV Club ...

(See the listing for Record Club on the first page)

I had no idea about this weird project of Beck's - so, if this is a remake of Yanni's instrumental live album, why is Beck singing?

Record Club: Yanni "Reflections Of Passion"

Also, the entry for the Santana album is pretty funny, and it just occurred to me that that stupid thing is definitely winning a grammy next year.

Jimmy McMillan's album may be inessential, but the cover is fantastic.

From that article:

Gavin Rossdale and Carlos Santana: Bang A Gong

"Take me to the river, drop me in the ocean" - he didn't even get the (inexplicable Al Green) breakdown right. Lot of good slap bass happening though.

The A.V. Club is fine until you scroll down to the comments section. Then I want to stab my eyes out with a hot poker.

Interesting article though.

A.V. Club comments are bad, but CNN is still, to me, the reigning king of bad comment sections.

No kidding.  Someone really needs to have a talk with the guy.

I don't count Youtube because most of the comments don't even read like they were written by human beings.

The AV Club has the only comment section worth reading on the entire internet.  I'd never post there, though.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
