Sarah, I used to have quite a crush on Tim Roth.
No longer?  He's still on my list (it's quite motley).

Well, he's not at the top of my list.

God, you really do!  I guess Ted Leo is on my list, too.

And that feels a little like incest to me.

I'm hopefully seeing This Is England in a few days - really looking forward to it. It's out on DVD in the UK soon, I believe.

Oh, and Dead Man's Shoes is absolutely fantastic, one of my 2004 favs - brutal, hypnotic, gritty, poetic. Highly recommended!

"The brilliance of ‘Tommo’s performance is not conditional on him being an unknown or having personal problems, it’s quite simply the best and most natural performance by a child actor I’ve ever seen."

Just watched it. Film of the year so far, by far.

I recently just saw a few movies which are considered classics and I often hear referred to, but have never seen.

Die Hard - Loved it. I'm really into action flicks like this. I saw the preview for Die Hard 4 and thought it looked really fun, and told my boyfriend I hadn't seen any of them. He made me get Die Hard immediatley, and sure enough - loved every second of it. Especially the coked up guy. 'I was just making a phone call... ::sniff::'

The Jerk - Very funny, though I thought it ran a little long. Loved the concept and haven't really been exposed to much old Steve Martin. Next on my Steve Martin list is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which I started watching on tv awhile back and never got to complete it.

Ghostbusters - Very enjoyable, although, again, I thought it ran a bit long. Everything was okay up until the end, seemed to stretch out for a long time. I like Sigourney Weaver and the rest of them. :)

I was a fan of The Man With Two Brains as a Young'un but I haven't seen it in a very very long time and I can't vouch for its quality.  I recently re-watched the Jerk and it was still pretty good, but I feel like some of Martin's shtick doesn't stand the test of time so good.

by all means DO NOT subject yourself to L.A. Story.

I was a big fan of Roxanne upon its theatrical release.  I wonder if that one holds up ...
