Can you guess the song?
« on: January 15, 2011, 11:19:25 AM »

I was hanging out with my usually musically open-minded  6 year old son.  I put on a song and within about 15 seconds he said,

"Dad, please turn it off.  This song is giving me nightmares."

What song was it?

G Gallin?  Something with "Sc*mf*ck" in the title?

Or "Feelings" by Morris Simon?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

excellent guesses one and all.

Clues --

Ebony and Ivory is the right decade.

I believe the "nightmares" does not refer to the lyrics, but to the music.

"Born in the USA"?  (If it was "Banned in the USA" my guess counts.)

for me, the horror of Porcupine Pie is all in the "Oh my gawd...."

New clue (best show-related):

The song is from an album featured in the 33 1/3 series.

Not really a clue:

I posted this here because I thought what he said was cute and it might provoke amusing replies.  In a way though, I really understand what he meant with this particular song.

Which reminds me...

Bonus Dad Question:

Years ago while still living at home, I was giving my dad a lift somewhere.  I started the car and the tapedeck blasted out what I was previously listening to.  Almost immediately he said, "What is that noise?"  A few second later though he added, "I like that part on top.  Nice.  Melodic."

Guesses on this one, from another 33 1/3 featured album?  (for the truly memory-gifted, I think I shared this same anecdote about my dad on a previous version of this board...)
