Did Nena even do anything else to make her/them hateable?

"This Is It" - Kenny Loggins feat. Michael McDonald
They're both the worst, but since I was a child, I've loved this song.

Kenny Loggins "This Is It"

There was a time when I was hooked on this entire record. You're right, it's not good, but as soon as I saw that picture, the whole title track flooded back into my brain.

Phil Collins: Easy Lover

Aww.  I like a lot of Phil Collins' stuff. I think all of Abacab is premium, and as I have said on this board before, he did play the shit out of the drums with Genesis in the 70's.

But granted, the man is capable of horrible, horrible music ("In Too Deep" may be the quintessential bad Phil Collins song).

It Ain't Over Till Its Over --  Lenny Kravitz

I'd pick "Are You Gonna Go My Way":

Lenny Kravitz "Are You Gonna Go My Way"

The guy is one of the worst lyricists of ever (this coming from someone who doesn't really pay much attention to lyrics), but in spite of that, I think this is a pretty good track.

Seconded. Also, The Meatmen.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

THEY are not good. Loggins+McDonald = two-way tie for last. But this song is great. I don't how they did it. I remember loving it as a child. It still holds up and I HATE Kenny Loggins as a musician. I'd listen to Dan Fogelberg over Loggins any day of the week. Maybe.

"Take It To The Limit" by The Eagles is another song. Maybe it's because Don Henley or Glenn Frey aren't singing it. When I was in 9th grade, my computer teacher played music in class, but only side one of a Hotel California cassette. It was the worst.

Agree with everything you wrote.

Also, Collins' work as a session drummer is deserving of some praise. He played on some of the best records of the 70's (Eno, Fripp, Thin Lizzy, early Peter Gabriel)

I think he's on All Things Must Pass as well.

Brand X records feature some of Phil's best drumming; as well-known as he is for the heavy-handed in-the-air-tonight stuff, he was amazingly supple and subtle.

There's a few from U2 (I wonder if anyone hates Bono and The Edge more than I imagine Adam Clayton and Larry Mullens Jr. do?) that I really like:

Most of the albums Boy and October. Some pretty good Post-Punk in those two.

Ditto -- EFD playing the 45 to (I think) "I will follow" brought me to this conclusion.

I also like all of Buffalo Springfield and most of Manassas, though I actually find Stephen Stills more entertaining/fascinating than hateful.

You're taking into account his cracked-out '80s period when he was carrying firearms everywhere and telling people he'd kicked all the gook ass in Vietnam?

"What a Fool Believes" with the Doobie Bros. is my jam. Unbelievable chorus.

Actually, the only Stephen Stills incident I've ever heard of that makes him seem sympathetic at all was when Neil Young informed him by telegram that he was dropping out of the Stills/Young tour and Stills' first words were "I have no career."

After I finish laughing my ass off, I find that kind of human.

Especially then, though the cocaine/Confederate uniform period is my favorite.
