Yes - hooray for "Iron Eyes" Cody!

My parents bought a foot-high metal bust of Geronimo (nicknamed "Mo") in the mid-70s, and it sat on the desk in our den for literally decades (2).  It wasn't an insulting likeness, I just considered it very strange, because any Indian heritage we MIGHT have - and I say might like that because just about every North Carolinian kid claims to have some - would be Cherokee or Tuscarora.  Not Apache.

Anyway, I mainly wanted to ask - is that Patrick MacNee in the 6th picture?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

My high school mascot was the Redskins in the nineties.  Some of my friends and I tried to get them to drop it, but no dice.  Finally in 2001 the school board forced them to drop it.  White people were mad!!  http://www.allarm.org/articles/riede.html (this isn't an interesting link, btw)

My brother Kirk works for the Department of the Interior as a Museum Curator for a Native American Gallery.  He's an absolute expert on the history and culture of the indigenuous peoples of this continent.

He used to tell me that when he worked in Utah (for the Park Service) he would occasionally visit people and find that they had taken tribal remains off a reservation (which is a federal offense).  One guy was actually using a skull as a bookend!  "It's just an 'injun' skull -- what's the big deal?"

Geez, louise.

Okay, guys, I didn't make up the costume name for the first ensemble, nor am I fabricating the prices for each complete "look."

Ladies and gentlemen, meet "Cheif [sic] C'moniwannalaya"

$648.00 for the complete look, including Vanity Shoes (not shown, presumably named after Prince's protégé)

$250 for top and skirt w/ bone piece, tomahawk and slack-jawed model not included

$300 for top and skirt with bone piece and head dress, stripper shoes not included

$250

$275

$300

$300

$300

$405

$480

$250

$500

$265

These are all from Trashy Lingerie, a store in Los Angeles that actually has the gall to charge admission and runs a little small. They have cute, if ridiculously overpriced, shit, though, and some scorching hot models (the likes of which include Masuimi Max, Julie Strain, and Dita von Teese.

Are you referring to DC's new Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian?
I went a few weeks ago.  Gorgeous - inside and out.  I highly recommend it.

I think so --or a gibberish response to what he wanted for chinese food?   He also said something like "Pass the poi muhalla" or something.  Which gave it a sort of Hawaiian flare.  I don't know the exact spelling of those misused words that may or may not be in another language that I am ignorant of.
