June 18, 2002:

The best part deals with Tom's discomfort with The Band's reputation.

Sick and Tired - The Continentals
Oi! Star! - Peelander-Z - Rocket Gold Star
School Daze - The Attack - For a Few Fuzz Guitars More
The Hour Glass - Outrageous Cherry - The Book of Spectral Projections
The Weight - The Band - (Tom hates Civil War reenactors, and I agree)
The Unfaithful Servant - The Band - (same thing...)
Nitroglycerine - The Gories - I Know You Be Houserockin'
I Should Not Have to Ask - The Witnesses - Tunnel Vision
Because we are the Aqua Teens - Aqua Teen Hunger Force Theme Song
My Ghettoblaster - Brant Bjork & the Operators - Brant Bjork & the Operators
Fast Up - Registrators - 4th EP

February 21, 2012 (Marathon Week One)

Volcano Suns - "Testify" (from the album Bumper Crop)
Rollins Band - "Do It" (from the EP Do It; Pink Fairies cover)
Ghostface Killah - "The Champ" (from the album Fishscale)
Led Zeppelin - "Immigrant Song" (from the album Led Zeppelin III)
ThemeWeavers LLC - "The Best Theme For The Best Show On WFMU"

During the show Ted Leo performed a cover of Eddie & The Hot Rods' "Do Anything You Wanna Do" and a new song called "The Gambler" (for now anyway). Later in the show Ted and Julie Klausner performed covers of Seals' "Kiss From A Rose" and The Stone Poneys' "Different Drum."

Last night (February 21st '12) Tom played a great tune at the top of the marathon, but I don't think he said what it was. Anyone have an idea?

I posted last night's playlist in the post prior to yours.

EDIT: Nevermind...looks like you started composing your post around the time I was submitting mine.

I don't know what he played but I do know that it was TOTALLY AWESOME. "In My Time Of Dying" I hadn't heard in a long while, so rocking. Then I found myself laughing at the end, when after like a 10 minute super heavy song then Robert Plant finally starts making orgasm noises. It was almost as if he thought "oh i forgot to make my orgasm noises this whole time, i'll just tack them on the end!"
