Very stoked for Plow United. I am going to go to this show, but there is a part of me that knows it is going to be weird/toomuch/grownfolkswithstrollers/rememberwhen??!/etc.

But still. Going.

Hey greggulator, this seems great. I'm in Allentown so that's not a far trip for me. I'm in.

Anyone else in? SO excited for this.

I can't find the details on it (but maybe the lovely Geatorette knows) but there's a show the night before which sounds pretty entertaining. It's a tribute to "Our Band Could Be Your Life" and all these local bands are doing tribute acts to the bands featured in the book. It's also pretty handy for my personal tastes -- I'll be getting to this late and the Mudhoney band goes on first so I'll miss them but will still be able to catch Black Flag/Fugazi/Husker Du and hopefully Beat Happening.

Gregg - Here's some info I found about the OBCBYL show...

"A themed show at Fishtown’s 2424 Studios will feature local acts performing as well-known bands, like Philly post-punk rockers The Silence Kit performing as Minor Threat and New Jersey’s House Bat as Sonic Youth. That show was originally slated for Fishtown’s Bookspace, but was moved due to that venue’s unexpected closure."

I've never been to 2424 Studios (that I know of, anyway...) but the show looks like it will be a lot of fun.

There's also the Ted Leo and Home Blitz show tonight at JB's, which is definitely where I'll be.

If it rains tomorrow, I may bow out of the Riot Fest scene. We'll see.
