Man-Mankind: The Missing Link
« on: May 06, 2007, 02:48:51 PM »
Boy, that Jim Henson enthusiast (May 1st 2007) had some crazy taxonomies, huh?  "Man-mankind"? If you didn't hear him, check it out here:

Bobby is a complete original, yes?  Actually not.  Listen to the vanity audio I posted previously.  You'll hear my drunken younger brother (in 1992) using the term "Man-Mankind" to explain .... drumroll please .... space travel!

Clip length is about a minute and twenty seconds. Navigate to about the 19 second mark (sorry I didn't have the tools for a direct link) to skip right to the reference:

Oops, gotta go. The Sun Machine is Coming Down and We're Gonna Have a Party ...

I actually picture that Henson fan as a Muppet.  But that's just me.

He sounded really nice though! I wanna be friends with him. Although we've the same name, so that'd be confusing.

And yeah, he's flippin nuts.

As long as we're on the subject of Man Man, this guy is no fan fan...

I happened to run into the members of Man Man at a cafe while I was reading the issue of Philly Weekly with their eerily grinning faces on the cover. It was embarrassing.

I don't think that's embarrassing. I would take it as a compliment, if I were in Man Man. Unless you were, I don't know, staring a hole through the cover.

Ha Ha.  I like this quote from ex-fmu d.j. Mosurock:

"I’d like to corner whichever member or supporter of Man Man that’s been tagging their name on houses and buildings all over my neighborhood in Brooklyn. I would Man Manhandle them in the most inhuman-man of ways and prove to them once and for all that Man Man is the Bastard."
