Art Of The Slap: Tolerable

The Onion AV Club rates it favorably. But they call it "Funny Fake Prank Calls". Fake? Insulting. Prank? Aggressively incensing. FUNNY? THESE ARE PEOPLE, REAL PEOPLE. TO LAUGH AT THEIR PLIGHT IS HORRIFYING. This disk, this show, is not about base HUMOUR. It's about CONNECTING with people. It's about unity and solidarity. Do you LAUGH when broken people bare their souls. Did you find it funny when, long ago, Bruce Willis broke down on air? I find hope and compassion in this show, I cry. But I never laugh. How dare you, Onion AV Club. How dare you, Amilie Gillette. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Who ever heard of a dinosaur with a head full of grease and an out of tune guitar?

Untolerable: that their whole index is just a jpg pasted in the middle of the page. that's just terrible web design (can't zoom in to increase text size, crawlers can't parse relavant info, blah blah).

As usual, the AV Club's Tolerability index is a few steps behind New York Magazine's Approval Matrix.

I thought the Onion was supposed to be hip or something. They shouldn't be taking cues from that yuppie rag.

I think this is meant to be a very favorable review.  Within the context of the scale, Art Of The Slap is at the very peak.  Everything else is intolerable.
