I got the surprise of my life when a box arrived with awesome chocolates and two skeins of Celtic aran yarn from Hickey's in North Dublin. This is especially amazing because I stopped by a few yarn shops in Dublin when I was there last and was too overwhelmed to buy anything. Pictures soon, but WHOAH. THANK YOU SONTA! I wasn't supposed to get anything but one of you awesome folk ( I know who but won't say unless you say its OK) went ahead and sent me a swell thank you gift.

Thanks to my FOT Secret Santa for the great gift box full of Michigan-alia. I loved your very interesting letter and all the details, and the destinations the box took en route to New Jersey! It was the first gift of the season opened at our home and a bit of FOT-mas mayhem ensued! My teenaged son appropriated the tee-shirts, and the Nutrigrain bars quickly got stowed in his lunchbox! His friend joyfully commandeered a pocketful of the Lifesavers!  The Michigan pin became an ornament on our little seasonal display of evergreen-ery, the magnet found a spot on the fridge, and I am saving the Cenac CD for a peaceful evening retreat. So everyone is happy!  Thanks!  Hope your holiday season is great!

My package arrived today!   Thank you so much Erech!    I will be listening to the new Todd Barry, and Patton Oswalt CDs at work tomorrow, and I have been wanting to read the Thomas Lennon and Ben Garrant book for a few months, so it is very excited to finally have it.     The Chuckles have been eaten, and I'm going to start drinking the Faygo soon.
