Hey, Rainer. I use the Sony DCR VX2000, I don't think they make it anymore, but it's a miniDV pro-sumer version of the PD-150, basically the same camera without the XLR mic ports. It's a 3 CCD model, so its colors are already pretty sharp, and then I boosted the contrast a little for the interiors to turn my blackdrop into a void. YouTube compression desaturates everything a little, but I like the way it turned out.
Whaaa?? I assumed that was HD or DVC. How come I can't get my 3 CCD Canon XL2 to look that good on youtube?
How in God's name did you get that file under 100 MB? How big was the original?
If you use Final Cut Pro or Compressor and can find it in your heart/schedule to walk me through your compression workflow, I'd name my first son Kibblesmith Kibblesmith Burns and he'd just have to deal with that.
I put myself way in the hole to make online stuff that looks like your online stuff, and after 2 years, I'm still doing something wrong in the
very last stage of post. There are a million options and I just can't seem to find the right combination to maintain quality without grossly inflating the file size. It's been the bane of my creative existence. If you're down, maybe we could start a new thread for tech talk, so as not to distract from the much-deserved love-fest in this one.
Please help me, kibblesmith, you brilliant bastard!
