I seem to remember Mooney coming up on the air once. I don't remember when it was, but I got the feeling Tom wasn't much of a fan.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I believe Tom is more of a Franklin Ajaye enthusiast.

Yes. He's one of my fave comedians from the 70s, jack.  He seemed really stoned but incredibly lucid.

I should dl some of his records. I always love people who giggle at their own silly jokes.

Even when his jokes aren't that great, Ajaye's delivery is always funny. It's like he's suavest stoner in the world.

I'll admit that the first time I saw Ajaye was on Deadwood and I had no idea he was a standup until his appearance on Green Room.

I've never heard his standup but he seems like a funny guy. That said, I kind of love that Stewart Lee gave him shit. Then again, I like it when Stewart Lee gives anybody shit.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Exactly! His goofy shit is like an avalanche, and you just succumb. He's one of those guys who make it look like comedians just go up on stage and run their mouths about nothing in particular, no prep whatsoever.

@MoS don't know who Stewart Lee is or what he give Ajaye shit for -- is this from the Green Room ep you mentioned?

Stewart Lee is an amazing British comedian. He's not terribly well-known here, but he's very well-known and well-respected in England. Maron interviewed him on one of the road editions of WTF. I don't think he's appeared on Green Room. The incident happened on his British TV show STEWART LEE'S COMEDY VEHICLE. From Wikipedia: "On his stand-up television show Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, British comedian Stewart Lee mocked Ajaye's LP I'm a Comedian, Seriously, sarcastically questioning the track titles of "Homosexuals," "Girls With Big Breasts," and "Dick Caught In Zipper," in the context of the claim on the album sleeve that Ajaye was a deep thinker."

I haven't seen that episode and I'm not familiar with the Ajaye standup in question. It's more that I think it's funny that Lee is willing to mock fellow comedians by name in public (he's not shy about mocking Russell Brand, for instance), which most comedians avoid out of professional decorum/the desire to work/survival instinct.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I remember seeing Mooney on Green Screen panel show, or whatever it was called, and he was kind of a bummer to watch.
