is right here, to be sure.  I'll come clean, I was going to take credit for this and then bask in the glory, but that wouldn't be a very cool thing to do.

The real dude behind this is too humble and dignified an individual to throw his hat in the ring, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to make sure it gets its due.

I think  39rc6cf said it best when he states:

The weirdest thing is to watch a white man doing black rap. It's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

And people scoffed when that anti-tv guy said there's plenty of interesting stuff to watch on youtube!

I think you watched about a minute and a half too long. I made it 30 seconds in.

sorry,

I feel a bit slimy having posted that.  But I'm thinking now of the 'Vincent Gallo yes shirt pose' photo I was forced to take a gander at...seems on par.  Perhaps there oughta be a new section of the board called "things that you cannot go back and unsee."

well, if anyone's stomach is strong enough, the dudeS (not just one lone nut job) responsible for this have their own collective and have put together a few cutting edge comedic video productions.

As wrong as it is, I am so tempted to get in touch and invite them to listen to the show, where they just might have an outlet for their genius.

think nothing of it.  seeing that, like this horrible vid, all adds up to learning, uh, something about life, i think.

I would think to be an FOT you would almost have to find a lot of entertainment in the horribly bad mixed together with a healthy dose of delusion.

I dunno, i can never get enough of these guys that call in thinking they have something interesting to offer (wet rat, 'big walk' guy, stevie blue - well, allright, i've had way more than enough of stevie blue) and don't even pick up on the fact that they're getting goofed on.  But don't worry, even i only have so much time in the day.

The worst thing ever is when they pick up on how they're getting goofed on, get all creepy, indignant and resentful about it, but continue to call the show, and contribute money to the show so Tom is obligated to be nice to them at least once a year.  And yes, I am talking about Captain Jack, who I have decided I LOATHE.

What's interesting about CJ is that he's very attuned to the show, and he has the ability to make a lot of very specific references (e.g., his recent suggestion of "Swiss Miss" as pin-up girl), unlike, say, Stevie Blue, who operates solely within the confines of his demented mind.  Ditto Spike, who has probably never listened to the show after he completes his calls.  Captain Jack operates within the goofball genre, but there appears to be a method to his relatively focused (i.e., prepared) madness.  In my opinion, he is sometimes able to craft some legitimate notes of comic absurdity.  I tend to chuckle at least once during his calls.

Wait, Stevie Blue and Captain Jack aren't the same guy? Who's Louie the Liverpudlian, then? Jason?

Yes, it's Jason.  Jason was also the guy that used to accuse Tom of accepting payola from Matador Records and the DC Snipers.

I believe he was also accused of accepting payola from Touch and Go Records. I miss Payola Guy. I love it when Tom gets indignant.

I thought Louie the Liverpudlian = Blue Willie = Captain Jack.  If Louie is in fact Jason, I'm impressed at his ability to put on a really bad British accent.
