Now if they made the Gecko into a sit-com I could have had a job.

at least the gecko is funny occasionally.

I can't wait for the episode where the cavemen have an unpleasant time at a comedy club.

I logged into facebook today and there was this on the homepage:

Get a taste of the Caveman’s world.

The GEICO Cavemen are partying and now you can join them. Watch the video and go to www.cavemanscrib.com to see the highlights.

I hope that they spin off the series into a full-length movie after 2 seasons. And then i can get the seasons on DVD and buy advance tickets, and get some caveman t-shirts, and buy some geico caveman brand bottled water.... ::)

I'm not done with this.

Here's why. I thought the whole point was that they had chunky heads. I signed on for that. But the make-up, I guess, needed to be toned down a little to allow for comedic expressiveness and inflection. So now, it's just a show about whiny roommates with beards.

Check it out! They're doing some kind of improvised comedy.

hahahha Dirty Vegas. that's their example of cutting edge club music, huh.
that band is as much a punchline as they are.

the only Geico commercial that makes me laugh is the one with the youtube clip of the guys fighting in a hallway with mattresses. so stupid, yet i ALWAYS have to hide myself chucking uncontrollably when it comes on when i'm at work.

To be fair to the man behind the caveman makeup, I'm pretty sure that in this case Dirty Vegas was a punchline.  On purpose.

Having said that "The straw is for religious reasons" is about the most throw-away unfunny thing possible to say.  They had to have known that.  The guy that said that is probably like "Oh why the hell couldn't they have edited it right after I said the thing about eating organic!!"

The real hero here is the exec who green lighted this nightmare.

See, I loved the commercials when they first came out, especially the lunch one.  I thought it was a funny twist.  I didn't get what it had to do with GEICO, but I wasn't going to switch to them anyway.

The actor who portrayed the offended caveman in the commericals was GOOD at it.  I looked at the online thing, and it started to get a little tired.  Then I heard about the TV show.

I thought, well, if they get those original guys, or some good improv people, it won't be exponentially worse than anything else on TV.

Then I saw these guys.  And I saw the script.  And I wondered how in holy hell the TV networks managed to ever turn out anything good.  Then I remembered the American version of "Coupling," and I thought, yeah, if they can ruin the humor of that then the humor of the caveman commercials is fish in a barrel.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

During class today, I looked out the window and saw a plane flying by with a Geico Caveman banner.  Pretty much made my day.

Is there somewhere that sells Caveman memorabilia? Honestly it is becoming a metaphor for bad choices, like the Edsel, or New Coke.

I was "lucky" enough to see the Caveman in the front seat on the left host a comedy show featuring David Cross and Aziz Ansari. Sadly, Cavemen look a lot more dignified than his act, which featured him in drag doing a mildly racist accent.

I'm without a TV right now. (this is horrible for so many other reasons) but I'm really considering putting up the money for a new one just for the experience of seeing this trainwreck. plus Tom doing live commentary while watching it on the air is an awesome bonus
