FOT Fontasy Football
« on: August 09, 2012, 02:42:46 AM »
If anyone is interested in playing fantasy football this season, you can join up here.

The particulars are:

Yahoo! FF
League ID#:    422671
League Name:    Weirdos Exposed
Password:     heaveho
Draft Type:    Live Standard Draft
Draft Time:    Sun Aug 26 1:45pm PDT

I have the max # of teams set at 10 right now, but that could certainly be adjusted upwards depending on interest.

If everybody's cool with doing an earlier draft on the 26th, that'd be great, or Saturday (day before). If not, no big sweat.

Sent a message to each member of last year's FOT ESPN league.

Sunday is tough for me as a draft day, but Saturday does work.  Later in the day it goes on Sunday, the better off I am (helping someone move).  Whatever the consensus, so be it!

I work Saturdays, but can make it back for a 6:45(ish) draft. Only problem might be that I am in California, so that would put folks on the East Coast beginning a draft at almost 10pm Saturday night. Doesn't make a real difference to me, so let me know what you think.

If the Draft time set already works for most, maybe let's just keep it. I'll have to do an auto-draft, but that's not the biggest bummer in the world. It's all about the deep picks 'nyways.

If on Sunday my only request would be make it later, anytime after 7 EST would be safe for me.  If that doesn't work for most then no worries, I can autodraft.

For those who haven't signed up ... we still have 2 slots left!  Pithy team name not required but preferred.

I'm in, looks like I made it an odd 9.

So I have changed the draft to 7:00pm EST, and hope that works better for everyone. We're up to 10 teams now, and I'm happy with that.

I wouldn't mind experimenting with 2 divisions, and the top 2 teams from each advancing to the playoffs (but with seeding determined by overall record). I have no real attachment to it, other than to see if it's enjoyable. If people are opposed let me know.

Looking forward to another season of obsessing!

Can we all make a pact to submit a roster every week- even if we're 0-8? If we're out of the running we still owe it to the others to keep things competitive.

I signed up, which makes it an odd number, if that messes things up, I'll cancel my team or whatever, but I guess if someone else joins up, I'm excited to try my first fantasy football league.

No, that's super fine - we just need one more team! We can do it before Sunday's draft.

That's a very nice name.
