The part about Rick Wakeman getting Indian food handed up to him while Yes is playing is great. And then Wakeman as Siegfried in that Franz Liszt biopic.

I can't seem to get past Yes' first album. I like them as a Rock (capital "R") band; maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing in the wrong place.

That story reminded me of the bass player in Kimmie McCook's boss' "favorite" band Window Pain - the guy who had the sundae bar built into his instrument.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

You owe it to yourself to listen to at least one episode of the Yes music podcast: http://www.mulryne.com/yesmusicpodcast/ This guy takes fandom to a whole new, albeit low-key level. Not one superlative goes unused in describing "the most advanced band in the history of rock, or perhaps any music".
