No. The Wally Wackiman/Greggulator Hatch Patch was easily the best.

Edit: That might have also been the show where Skeevy advised Wally Wackiman to "get some ass," which is one of my favorite Best Show moments ever.

That was indeed a wonderful moment!

Hey FOT,
I was really disappointing that there was not even an ATTEMPT to install the ceiling fan.  Maybe next Rest Show.  I do think it would at least make for interesting radio, based on Mike and Hatch's bickering-old-married-couple dynamic from the car and Massa's.  I can imagine it, now:

Hatch:Okay, Mike, now hand me the phillips-head screwdriver.

Hatch:No, Mike, I didn't ask for you to hand me a beer!  I'm already in enough danger on Joe Puppy's wobbly step-ladder.  I don't need to be inebriated, too.

Mike:Come on!  Live a little!
(Followed by a Big Ang impression)

Also, glad you guys liked Wally & Greggulator's showdown.  It was fun.

I appreciate Mike's take on unemployment. It really is heartening. People think working in an office 40 hrs a week is soul crushing, but nothing is more soul crushing than sitting around with nothing to do watching your savings rapidly decrease. I listen to a lot of podcasts, but Depravity's Rainbow is second only to the Best Show in my opinion.

So is the ceiling fan installed now?

The ceiling fan is up, but the lights aren't working (I think there's a problem with the wall switch connection). I'll do it again tomorrow, changing a couple connections. At least this time I'll know what I'm doing. For now, the breeze feels good. Just in time for...fall.

Attempting to install a ceiling fan in the dark would have been a disaster. Try it yourself and you'll see why.

Doing it at night woulda been fine Mike. I bet the lights would be working if you'd let me help install it.

The lights are working now, smart aleck. It would have been a disaster, trust me. And we probably would have set the building on fire by connecting the wrong wires in the dark.

Here's a link to some info about Power Grid if anyone wants to play.

I was catching up on the last few episodes and I was surprised to suddenly hear discussion of one of my favorite board games, the German gem known as Power Grid, on The Rest Show. I was not expecting them to let you go on with your analysis of the finer strategic considerations when building your plutocratic energy empire but luckily for me, I got to hear the only discussion of the game from someone outside of the couple friends I used to play with during my formative years in NJ.

Thank you Greggulator, for championing the seemingly mundane yet incredibly fascinating game. I suggest you look into the China/Korea expansion for more variations in natural resource and bidding procedures.

INCREDIBLE Rest Show last night.

Mike needs to be featured more on these Rest Shows. No reason he should be manning the phones. His comments on The Blair Witch Project and Dario Argento were golden.
