WTF with the Austin Powers sounds?

I hear them too. I like to think it's Tom's subliminal message to us that it's okay to think the first Austin Powers movie is a very funny movie.

wild guess that they're coming from tom's mac. Maybe a notification when someone comes online on chat.

Yes, I heard these as well as Tokyo subway station chimes, which are the default notification sound for Adium, a Mac chat program.  So that's a good bet for the Austin Powers sounds as well.

That's disappointing. I was assuming it was foreshadowing for a Wurster call.  And every week he called and it wasn't acknowledged I got more excited figuring when it finally came into play it would be epic.

I mean, I should add that this would have required Tom downloading Austin Powers sound clips and adding them to his chat program for certain actions.  So while it's possible given the other sounds, it's not a guarantee or anything.
