This is in the hopes that this new Sydneysider can get to know a couple of Sydney FOTs on this board and maybe also get some guidance.
I immigrated here a few months ago from the US. I am fairly well settled here now but I am still confused about where I should go to find decent record stores and what venues have the cool gigs. I would also be interested in knowing which theaters carry the indie/foreign films and other places of not-highbrow cultural pursuit. I have family and friends here who have been tremendous help in many other ways, but they would be no help in this department- none of them are card carrying FOT members like me! I guess I just need to be pointed in the right direction.
