Coco is one of my favorites! I thought it was going to be Spike for sure.

I wonder if Spike will call? He refused to call in for the last few WFMU shows, didn't he?

He did attempt to call during the final show, but could not get through, which is understandable as the phones were slammed.  I tried calling 25 times that night.

I kept getting some weird page with a cartoon alligator every time I went to Thebestshow.net last night.

For future reference - if the problem continues - keep hitting F5.  I was able to refresh my way through that screen after a few false starts.

Wonderful first show last night... too many great moments to mention, though Tom's oft-repeated statement that he enjoys this more than we do... that may have been the best part.  Can't hear that enough.

Thanks to everyone involved with getting the show back up and running.

Last night was awesome...and I know so many people worked so hard to get it going (and as a first time listener in "real time", I can't share my appreciation enough for how helpful the folks on the chat were with everyone's various technical difficulties, etc).

...but I gotta say-- even with one "WFMU" slip or whatever-- Tom didn't miss...a...beat. You would think there would be some occasional clunkiness or something (a year away, a new studio, weird equipment issues...). But he was totally a creature at home in his environment.

It really backs up all of the times he's said in interviews, "I know I'm good at this, so I should just do this".

So glad it's back.

So I listened last night but the first half hour was unstable. Is there a sooper-sekrit archive, like wfmu had, that keeps the music intact? I cannot always stay up and I like to re-listen at work on Wednesday but the itunes version has no tunes. :-\

I am so happy the show is back! Life can now go back to normal. It has been a long year without Tom telling me what is and is not worthy of my entertainment dollar.

On recommendation from the Best Show on Roku thread... http://new.livestream.com/accounts/11222128

When I worked 2nd shift, I could only listen to the podcast. So when Tom back announced the songs he played, I would pause the show and look up each song on YouTube and listen to it before moving on with the show. I know it's not the same, though.

Tom finally talks on Mike's Skype Thing.

We were just doing our usual Mike Skype thing when Tom Scharpling shows up and talks not texts. Later, he pots us down and ruins the show.

Chelsea Peretti has been doing a call-in podcast for a while, and trust me- she has no lack of random lunatics calling into that show.

The Best Show probably casts a far wider net, so I'm confident there will be some call-in gems.
Hunch confirmed, by the way.  ;D

Wow that show was great. Hit the ground running as if the 2014 hiatus had never even happened.

Fredrick's I think the mp3 on your site is broken, I was going to download that show, but couldn't get it to play in itunes.
