I don't think we meant "Conservative" - rather "conservative." As in not into weird musical things. Again, it doesn't bother me, any more than Billy Joel not going back and doing Attila or Kenny Rogers not going back to psychedelic stuff.
Seger's run-of-the-mill fan is probably more big-C conservative than, say, the average Death Cab fan, so it's nice to see that he still does songs about whatever causes move the needle for him.
