The gross dude talking about candy - at least it wasn't wrestling again - until the boredom drove Pat to read a dictionary.

There's a documentary about Gilbert out there that is unexpectedly very moving, despite his public persona.

I cannot find it, but hear for yourself where he describes reaching Ron Suskind's son - he reaches Suskind's child who might otherwise have been unreachable. Yeah, I teared up. So what.

There was a show, Horror Incorporated, that would play all kinds of wonderful and terrible monster movies, and we would watch them together. I also have to say that I have quite a platonic crush on Tanya Donelly's character in this video - and she never breaks the B-Movie actress style. It's amazing.

I am surprised to hear that Phantom Thread is one of Tom's all-time favorite movies. It really didn't do it for me.

Some of these I have not watched in a really long time, so I may need to re-evaluate. But for now I would say:

I've  been a listener since 2002. The forum and especially the chat on show night kept me engaged with the show in a way twitter and the like cannot. I want the forum to be used again and the chat to be live again! Twitter is for the world, and I under it's a marketing tool to reach more listings,  but FOT forums and chat were OUR THING, special for Best Show fans. I don't even know if many new listeners even are aware of FOT site and what it once was. The most people ever on at the same time was a little over 500 people in 2004. Imagine if we could invite those 500 to a  gathering of FOTs! Maybe Scharpling  and  Wurster would do a show. Anyway , if you're a caller( in 20 years I've  called twice ) call in and promote the forum and let's get the chat back.....remember when Tom monitored the chat....I got removed once because my sarcasm wasn't appreciated.  It was one of the times I called and asked Tom to reinstate me....he deferred to " Gregg on the 5th floor handles that" and then put me back in chat!

The last mayornubital race was in 2018....it is a ten year term.  Mayor Ziegler lost the office if I remember correctly,  either he abandoned it or was removed( I've been hitting the archives lately- highly reccomend August 19 2008- I'm searching for more info)
Anyway, a mayorornubital would be a lot of fun for 2022.
Personally I'd like to see Roland Gorchnick move to NB and run!
