I just watched The Stanford Experiment movie, and it got a little dusty when SPOILER Billy Crudup comes in and ends the experiment.

Shawshank hands down. One of Tom's faves too.

It could also be Bresson's style. He doesn't exactly induce emotion, you have to bring something to the table yourself for that to happen. Which is no indictment either way, you just have to be in the right mood and/or frame of mind while watching for his movies to work that way, I think.

If I don't include Creed, which I saw yesterday...

My teenage daughter convinced me to watch The Perks of Being a Wallflower with her. I went in with a massive chip on my shoulder and ended up blubbering through wide swaths of it. I am not proud of this.

I've only seen 3 or 4 of his films, I loved them, but none made me very emotional.

I cried throughout the first half of White God.  I can't handle depictions of animal cruelty or animals being in peril, which is also the reason that, although I like the two or three Bresson films I've seen, I can't bear to watch Balthasar.

Love and Mercy.  Spent most of the movie choked up.
