My wife picked up a coloring book for the baby at a dollar store in Bushwick. This thing was so unbelievably weird i had to write a whole post about it (replete with scans of the offending pages).

My personal favoriite: "Iron with Worried Dog". Keep in mind, this is from a coloring book meant for children.

At first glance, I thought the iron was in a thought balloon.  THE DOG-IRON CONFLICT RAGES ON.

This picture just fascinates me:

Is this on purpose? How long do you think it takes him to groom that? Or would "that" be an "it"?

You know who, in a sort of Teen Beat pose:

God help me but he's sorta dreamy here, ain't he?

Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

Go figure.  The Library of Congress has a Flickr page.  Just spend hours looking at one group "1930's-40's in Color".  I find this sort of stuff endlessly fascinating.

i forgot all about the library of congress flickr page.  you can literally spend HOURS there, which i did.  unfortunately, any time i spend hours obsessing over something online, i feel like ive wasted precious life i have left.

This goes out to Andy...

And re: the Library of Congress over at Flickr, I too have spent HOURS looking through those. In fact, my avatar comes from over there.
Congratulations. You are now a mouse cursor inside a graphics program that the client can control by speaking, emailing and instant messaging.

This is fascinating.
You'll like it in hell; it's a lot like New Jersey.
