They oxidize faster in the heat? I have no idea.

speaking about white people problems (no offense guys)

what do you folks think about getting a separate fridge just to keep my weights cold?

I am asking this earnestly. What's the advantage of keeping weights cold?

duh, they're denser
thus more strength gains

Why do you think the Scandinavian countries dominate Worlds Strongest Man competitions? Year round access to icy-cold weights

I am asking this earnestly. Do you think this is a weightlifting board?

Is this the same thing as taking that one special color green marker and tracing the edges of your CDs with it so they sound better?

How does density help?

Density just means more weight in a smaller volume. The weight itself is the same.

It's easier to handle the coldness shrunk weights? Help me understand this.

I should have said 'the same weight in a smaller volume'. You don't have more weight than you started out with, your 45 pound weight still weighs 45 pounds, it's just (ever so slightly) smaller.

What's the advantage of the weight being smaller? Storage?

You wouldn't be trolling me here, would you?

Solid gold weights would be even denser, and then you wouldn't have to have the refrigerator.

Of course, for the densest weights, you're going to have to go with plutonium, but come on, that's just silly.

ED: Actually, osmium and iridium are denser, but I still recommend plutonium.

I keep my weights in a hot oven.  Coincidentally, I can bench 1050.

Me too, not cuz of the density thing but because I wanted my hands to be able to withstand intense heat while I lift things. I'm up to about 375. I never realized refrigerating your weights would make you more dense, that's pretty cool.
