This is not my extra-curricular activity, but rather my wife's - Tricia from Maplewood - who has been a FOT-by-proxy since 2005.
Anyway, she has been busting her butt for two years assistant curating this show at the Newark Museum. It opens tomorrow, and it is going to be gorgeous.
It turns out that North America and Europe were not the sole generators of geometric abstraction. South America was creating amazing works in parallel with the U.S. Also, much of it was influenced by the crafts of indigenous peoples on the two continents, giving it a rather unified look and feel.
