Hey all you NYC area FOT, my band the Waylons is playing at Southpaw in Brooklyn this Friday night. We're opening for Chuck Prophet (ex-Green on Red and a pretty awesome solo artist). It's an early show (Waylons at 7:30, Chuck at 8:30) so come out and start your evening with us!

Here's our myspace for your listening pleasure:
www.myspace.com/thewaylons

Despite our name, we're not a country band...

Chuck Prophet put on a heck of a show.

Additional note: I like everything I've heard by the Waylons.

I just started a Podcrast with two of my friends. It's a little rough around the edges but we're learning as we go. It's a weekly show talking about television (news, what we like, etc.) that we like to call "Hellovision!"

you can check it out at hellovision.tumblr.com or on iTunes. Any constructive criticism is welcome! And if anybody ever wants to be a guest, shoot me an email!

End of my shameless self promotion. Enjoy the show!

A film I produced about the late Seattle poet Steven Jesse Bernstein will be premiering at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in early April.  It's directed by the great Pete Sillen (BENJAMIN SMOKE, SPEED RACER: WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF VIC CHESNUT).

FB Fan page:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-AM-SECRETLY-AN-IMPORTANT-MAN-The-Jesse-Bernstein-Documentary/57338683847?ref=nf

We'll post more screening info on the fan page as they get announced.

Hi again (sorry). I've started an online literary magazine for unpublishable writing and I want you guys to submit stuff to it.

The fiction guest editor for this issue is Pasha Malla, and the poetry guest editor is Daniel Scott Tysdal. Sheila Heti is going to be putting together a really cool/weird nonfiction section as well.

There are themes for each section and you can find those on the website (www.incongruousquarterly.com) along with call for submissions and stuff like that. Please submit things and tell your friends if you think they might be interested! I am really pretty excited about this whole thing, I think it is going to be good.

A local comedy troupe invited me into the fold to participate in their entry in Calgary's 48-hour film challenge for the Calgary Underground Film Festival.

Here is the result - check it out, I think it turned out pretty well and I hope you FOTs do too!

Does a Nashville sighting of a Platinum Caller count as an "event"?

Sorry to bug everyone again, BUT, those pals of mine made a full-length movie this past summer and it looks like they're finally going to release it around town and where ever anyone is willing to take a look.

Here's a trailer: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/2522dc6b0d/sketch-trailer

Try to find my cameo!

Or not.

Or a Windy City sighting?

I really enjoyed this, although I am disturbed by one detail; at the 3:15 mark, every single finger on the right hand of our Hugman is quite clearly exactly the same length. This is disquieting in the same way that learning that Steve Forbes never blinks was unsettling.

Hi everyone - I'm going to have a short piece on the CBC Definitely Not the Opera this weekend. I'm told it'll air at about 3:40 across the whole of the great white north, so if you're up here, you can give it a listen!
