I designed and helped build a site that our company launched last night!

https://www.readability.com/

I love this bookmarklet and have used it daily for what seems like about a year?

Great website and I'm checking out the new service.

Here's the photo they used for the print edition. Check out the t-shirt!

A semi-live semi-funny video I cut for my band Family Fun.

Let me know what you think. We love brutally honest/just plain offensive criticism!

Best wishes,

Mike (in Manhattan)

www.thevanpool.com

Although I live in Philly, I work in Midtown Manhattan. Since that commute is a bear and also really expensive to do every day, I stay with my mom and dad a few nights a week in North Jersey.

I started my job a little over a year ago. One morning, I was waiting for the bus to take me to Port Authority. Before it arrived, this white van (straight out of "I Know My Name Is Steven") pulled up. The guy riding shotgun asked me I wanted a ride. I said no but he started asking me where I was going. I told him NY. He insisted I get in. Then the door slid open and all of these people inside started beckoning me to enter.

So I did. It's a vanpool (which I have dubbed The Vanpool) and for $6 Charlie, the driver, will take you into the city. He drops me off about two blocks from work and I get to avoid the dread and terror that is Port Authority.

The people on this van are amazing. It's pretty much a sitcom episode every morning.

I have been chronicling every one of my Vanpool journeys since I started riding this thing. I think it's very much in the FOT wheelhouse.

You know what?  A sincere, thought-provoking, and kind rejection letter from Jonathan Galassi (Jonathan Franzen and Tom Wolfe's publisher) is not a half-bad experience.  I got rejected, yet I am walking on air!

Hi everyone,

Just made a short with some friends for a local 48-hour film festival. We're given a genre, a prop we have to use and a line that must be spoken. Then we're given 2 days to make something of it. We were give biopic, a VHS tape and, well, it'll become obvious in the show.

Here's what we came up with:

The McNetwork

Well I just wasted a bit too much time at work reading some of that.  And trying not to laugh too hard.  Good stuff!

My band, Sat In What, just released our (sadly) last album - Six Solo Albums Pt. 2, the companion album to (you guessed it) Six Solo Albums Pt. 1

Get all of our goods at http://satinwhat.bandcamp.com for FREE

I think they're all great but I'm especially proud of the final 3 albums, particularly On Pyramid.

Let me know what you think, should you decide to venture there ...
