Question re: the Newbridge Commons
« on: August 23, 2007, 02:45:08 PM »
Having never had the good fortune to find myself in the fine city Newbridge, I was wondering- Newbridge Commons- is it an actual enclosed mall or, as was always my impression a sort of open, or three sided strip mall affair- it's actually for something for the Video/Art contest.

Thanks!

Newbridge has a myspace page, and I believe the Commons are pictured there.

I figured it was based on Bridgewater Commons, a large shopping mall in suburban Central NJ, but the MySpace pic is a much bleaker building.

well, since Bryce lives behind the lady footlocker, i  picture it as a typical NJ style strip mall with parking in the front, an alley with dumpsters in the back, and alot of crappy stores that no one goes to.

I believe that the name at least is based on New Hope Commons, a Wal-Mart/Best Buy suburban sprawl center on the Durham/Chapel Hill line in North Carolina.  Jonny W. will have been there a million times.

In fact, Wurster calls up (briefly) to report a "387 at New Hope Commons" on the April 26, 2005 show at the 1:00 mark.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I think this place used to be called Hollywood Upstairs Medical College.

Now I can get my transcripts!
