I am just now listening to the show and I have to say, my hate pit has a population of 1:
Ryan from Eugene.

What a pussy.  12 hour workday?  That's normal.  Try an 18 hour workday.  Try a 90 hour work week.  That's  right, it would be 5 of the one day that you're crying about, plus 30 more hours.

Don't get me wrong, I work a lot because I like working, but I hate it when people act like "Woah, I worked 12 hours today and I'm delirious."  No you're not; you're tired of doing something you don't like doing, crybaby.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

"He even joked that because of the writers strike, he had more time to work on his car collection," a staffer said.

"Alright, well, for the sake of this conversation, let's say the book does not exist."

Simon Rich.

That interview was AWFUL. I've written some truly unfunny stuff in my life, but none of it ended up in print in a two book deal with Random House right out of college. And the whole thing about living with his mom in their house in Manhattan and finally getting the courage to move with some friends to Brooklyn is what has the rent in Brooklyn skyrocketing. Grrr.

Or maybe I'm just jealous because I'd love to have a house with a washing machine and a stocked kitchen to retreat to whenever I feel overwhelmed. But the unfunny nature of the jokes are what have him working with TI on some new dance moves as I write this.

Yeah, ditto.  I mean, of course, I'm jealous, who wouldn't be.  If I could have gone to an Ivy League school and not be in absurd debt for my MFA and not have to worry about rent and quit teaching and just be a playwright (I love teaching just not so much of it) and not have spent my entire twenties temping and waiting tables and have connections throughout the media and entertainment worlds, I would have.  There are surely legacy and trust fund kids whose work I admire, even though the only ones who come to mind at the moment are Edward Albee and Joss Whedon, neither of whom I admire that much.  What really raises my hackles is that he's not funny.  He doesn't deserve to be where he is.  The nepotism just stinks to high heaven.

That's why I'm voting Tom Scharpling in the comedy writers I like election of 2008.  Man of the people, running from a push mower.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Strange how "funny" is subjective.

This entire forum reeks of Joss Whedon fans.

I miss the days of taping Buffy so I could listen to the show live.

I'm a fan of Buffy, seasons 1-3, parts of 4, and the musical episode. I could do without the rest of it, particularly Marti Noxon's obsession with rape parables.

Hey, thanks for taking my upbeat post and turning it into a big old hipster Marti Noxon hatefest. I guess a twenty five dollar dessert tasting buys only the desserts, not loyalty.

Here you go, Stan:  I adore Buffy.  And while season 6 is my least favorite, followed by season 7, I would rather have less-liked Buffy episodes than most other television programs past or present.  I believe I've already confessed that I have the entire series on DVD--my only indulgence of the kind--and I have no doubt that before I shuffle off this mortal coil I will have rewatched the whole thing numerous times.

There.

Huh?!

DavfrumKnuxvlle, that interview was entirely unfunny. And there's no gray space there, that foul ball went up into the nosebleed seats.
