My friend and I were talking about that today (I got Aladdin Sane for Christmas).  Bing Crosby got ripped off: the sweater wearing Bowie was fey, sure, but Bing should have been treated to weird-pants Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dog, Ziggy, even long-hair Hunky Dory, man-dress Man Who Sold the World.

I actually think I would go with Heathen era David Bowie with the white cut suit, when he looked like a male Grace Jones. I would just love to have him on my arm at a ball dressed like that.

But I think he was at his hottest during the Ziggy Stardust era, so I might be tempted to go with that as well.  It's so hard to decide!
