The L Word changes every season. The Jenny season with all the ridiculous "dream" sequences and poetry, was just.. outrageous. Seasons 4 and 5 picked up and were fun to watch again. Even though they focus on Jenny a lot still, she's not an emotional mess, she's just an outright manipulative lunatic. Those ladies need a villain, don't they?

Unfortunately the next season will only be eight episodes long - just long enough to wrap up the entire show for good.

I couldn't believe that Catherine Keener's sister made an appearance.  Too bad I can't remember her name.  She was a pretty despicable villain.

And I hate to admit it but I liked when Jenny got hurt because she's so self-absorbed.

Shane, I'll miss you most of all.

I'm waiting for someone to cop to their love of Wyclef.

I'm deathly afraid of clowns. No joke.

Oh I know! I remember watching the first episode and thinking, "That woman is so familiar."

Even though I really dislike Jenny, something about her character was a lot more vulnerable this season. I felt for her, especially the end of the season. Yikes. I remember my stomach being in knots as she ran out to the balcony. Time to rewatch all the seasons, I think.

I was hoping Jenny was gonna get eaten by a shark after her raft drifts out to sea at the Season 4. How did she make it back to shore, that what I wanna know. And I kinda though Shane and Nikki were gonna fall to their deaths on that balcony - I kinda had a panic attack.

And so that brings me to my embarrassing confession that I have seen every episode of the L Word. It started out when my friend Cat moved upstairs from us (my now-wife and myself) in our apartment, and she had God's green herb, and had just gotten into the show as her boss was tivo-ing them on to DVDs for her. So the two went hand in hand and I got sucked in and I became emotionally invested in that show. Don't judge,

No judging over here.

Shane, I'll miss you most of all.

oh SHANE. shane might be enough to make me watch again.

oh i forgot the real reason that i finally had to stop at the beginning of season three. alice went crazy! alice was my favorite! if you say that alice stopped being crazy, i'll torrent that nonsense right this second!

anyway, my shameful confession is that i will watch friends pretty much anytime it's on. there are some episodes i've seen dozens of times. I KNOW that it's stupid, but it's familiar-stupid.

Alice, as usual, has become quite the badass. I would suggest giving S4 & 5 another shot.

Except that she's become a total jerk towards Max. I guess the transgendered don't warrant the same kind of equality as lesbians. Which made me angry 'cause I like Alice. I am too emotionally invested in this show, I gotta stop.

I like Alice too and this behaviour was bumming me out.  I mean, I understand if some people, even cool people, don't "get" transgendered people, but someone on the show should like Max.  Max is totally sweet and a friend to all.

I'm glad that this character is on the show.  And maybe the cold or ambivalent treatment that the character gets is the most realistic thing on the show after all.

I just ate Burger King. I had two spicy chicken crisps.

Yesterday I had two crunchy tacos from Taco Bell.

I'm out of control.

That's an excellent point. I always cringe at those scenes, as much as I love Alice. I can only hope it's the shows' way of making Alice more realistic, since her character is usually so genuine and nice. I really wish they would focus on transgendered people more.. It seems like the character of Max became too deep and they couldn't bring themselves to continue it. But I agree with you and Erika that Max is awesome , and I'm hoping he'll have some sort of revenge before the series wraps up.

I just caught Tyra on TV in Indiana and I was instantly hooked.  I'm in CT for a month with no TV but I might actually watch it online.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.
