On a lighter note though, I think we can all find inspiration in the website of Stephen Baldwin (aka Stevie B!):

I had no idea he was a born-again (or should I say born-anew?)

No one wants to be found dead in one’s apartment of a possible overdose, but if it should ever happen to me, I certainly hope it isn’t by my “massage therapist.”

What about that nun that found pope John Paul the 1st dead, that was a bit scandalous.

Well it wasn't me, if that's what you're implying. I'm not even a real nun.

Please keep this thread on topic!

If you don't I'm gonna have to start looking elsewhere for news. For example, have you guys seen this shocking development regarding the late actor's relationship with Ms. Olsen?

I worked with that dog in a production of Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Protesting anyone's funeral should be made illegal.

I'm going to start protesting births.  Who's with me?

I just made the mistake of reading an article about the official ruling on the cause of Heath Ledger's death (I ghoulishly followed a link on my Google page), and if he didn't commit suicide I'm really annoyed with him.  The death was ruled accidental, but he had OxyContin, Vicodin, Valium, Xanax, Restoril, and Unisom in his system--this at a time when he was suffering from pneumonia.  If he wasn't trying to kill himself, he was a fucking idiot.

But an idiotic prescription-drug junkie (believe me, some are smarter than others).

The only person I know who's on lots of conflicting prescription drugs is certainly unconsciously trying to kill himself.

...OxyContin, Vicodin, Valium, Xanax, Restoril, and Unisom

Aren't these the lyrics to a Queens of the Stone Age song?

Granted:  any junkie is at least unconsciously suicidal.  Consciously, however, they are careful to varying degrees, and the more careful try to exercise some judgment in what they mix (something that can be done much more precisely when prescription drugs are involved).

It occurs to me, though, that I may be maligning Mr. Ledger: perhaps his brain was addled by the pneumonia.
