What ever happened to Mr. Phipp's Pretzel Chips, anyway? Seems like we've abandoned trying to push the boundaries of the shape in which pretzels can be eaten.
I recently had the opportunity to sample Town House FlipSideS, which the box would have you believe is a pretzel on one side and a cracker on the other.

It was a little disappointing that they aren't so clearly and evenly split along the pretzel/cracker line, but it is more scientifically impressive that they appear to be actual pretzel-cracker hybrids, as if they've successfully mated a pretzel and a cracker instead of just gluing a cracker and pretzel back-to-back, which I could probably do on my own if I had to.
I don't really feel qualified to judge them on a snack level since I mostly found myself wondering whether the Keebler Labs people not only asked "can we genetically combine a pretzel and a cracker?" but also asked "
should we genetically combine a pretzel and a cracker?"
