I had a great time in Vegas, thanks. It's Weirdsville, obviously, but I knew that. Plus, I worked almost all the time so I never got that Vegas fatigue that I hear most people get when they go there; pre-trip advice ranged from "get as drunk as possible to endure it" to "only stay two days, tops". I can actually see myself going back for a few days just to slob around and get tired of it for real. I hardly did any gambling at all (like $5), but my friend won $1200 on one hand of poker (not a gambler either, he didn't even know what happened and got tons of Evil Eyes from other gamblers when he just took the money and left).
The desert was the coolest (not literally). The Valley of Fire, halfway to Grand Canyon, beautiful.
