David McCullough . . . said that The Bends was first documented because of the men who died working on the Brooklyn Bridge.

If you're saying he said that was when the term "the bends" was first used, fine.  If you're saying he said those were the first documented cases of the ailment known as the bends, then either he was wrong or you're misremembering.  My money's on the latter.

Oof! Harsh! But fair.

By the way, I was kidding about McCullough always being right. HE IS BUT A MAN!

He said that those were the first cases that led to an organized investigation into the phenomenon.  A doctor named Andrew Smith conducted a large investigation into the illness after a lot of workers in the caissons got sick and others died.

I've always preferred Coke to Pepsi; here's another reason.

I don't get it, but I can't see the second picture, either.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

This version doesn't have that advanced anti-hotlinking technology.

They should've stuck with the 2005 logo.  Easily the classiest.

I just meant that I like the fact that Coca Cola hasn't felt the need to alter its logo every five minutes.  Pointless redesign of packaging is one of my many, many, many* pet peeves.

As for Pepsi's, I like the 1898 version the best.  It looks bonkers.

*many . . .

Agreed ... It's really marketing-y.

The 1898 version looks like it was designed by a schizophrenic turn-of-the-century murderer.

Agreed. It looks like something a person scrawls on a wall after garroting someone.

Don't you think anyone who needs a chart in order to decide whether to buy a Snuggie should buy a Snuggie no matter what?

I've had a lot of bad to mediocre beer that had one of those medals on it.
