Let's not just give TL the props. The Rx also get big ups for making that happen!

Absolutely!  I mean, they're not even rabid fans, I think, so they get extra credit for good sportsdom.  Especial kudos, too, to Little James, who suffered for James's sins.

Marathon Abba cover w/Ben Gibbard, Mean Bellpeppers and Tom

Wait, huh?  Is Patton Oswalt filtered to Mean Bellpeppers on this board or something?

i was kind of hoping that right after that guy who complained about how much he hates "don't stop believing" called, tom would introduce "the world is in the turlet" and actually start playing "don't stop believing" just to tease that one guy.

ok maybe not.
anyway, this song is great!!!

Somewhere along the line I thought Patton was using Bellpepps as an alias on aspecialthing.com.  For the life of me I don't know why.  Please ignore and proceed!!

I used POSI's cover image when I put Turlet on my itunes. That makes it the official cover, at least in my world.

*I know a couple of people recorded this from the stream, and I don't mean to step on their toes, but this version is taken from the posted high-quality archive and edited using Rogue Amoeba's awesome software, Fission, which allows you to losslessly edit MP3s and other compressed formats.  If you ever want to create clips from the show and are a Mac user you should check it out.

This is what I use to edit the podcast every week. I used to convert the HQ archive to WAV and edit in SoundForge, but Fission saves me a shitload of time by losslessly editing the native mp3. Edits aren't as accurate (and sometimes glitchy), but I no longer have time for that annoying WAV conversion malarkey.

Fission = "Smash"

Wouldn't be great if Ted/Rx unleashed that song upon the unknowing Pearl Jam fans.  Pearl Jam would never be able to follow that up.

Smash!

The chorus's been stuck in my head since Tuesday. I keep singing it in my head during office meetings.
"You want me to recognize you and I won't. I won't acknowledge you! I deny you. So you keep begging and begging. The door is slammed on you. I want nothing to do with you. You will die unrecognized by me."
