This annoys me, too. I think as a parent you do have to make sure your kids are building to their future, but really you also have to make sure they are enjoying being a kid. This grown-up thing is not really all it's cracked up to be at times.
Also, that this kid has gotten A's at a commmunity college doesn't prove he's Einstein reincarnate. I started at a community college (for financial reasons, don't judge). I think most smart sixth graders would have been smarter than 80% of my classmates there and could get A's. Plus, there was a good number of students that were just learning English.
