I once called the fire department for helping getting a kitten off the roof of a house.  I was informed rather rudely that such tasks were not their purview.  This happened in the not very large town of Bangor, Maine, mind you, where one might reasonably expect a little more help with such matters. 

So much for that stereotype.

unfortunately, i can not look at prairie dogs and NOT think of todd barry.  i believe ive mentioned this on here before, but who cares.

also, my brother used to live in lubbock, tx for a brief time and they were rampant with prairie dogs.  at some point, tumor is, they were going to relocate prairie dogs because they popped up at the grassy intersections and people would get into auto accidents looking at them.

I just saw that bunny video on Anderson Cooper 360. (Anderson's on vacation, I guess. One of the broads co-hosting asked the other one if she thinks she could train her cat to do that. Apparently, no -- she's still trying to get her cat to use the toilet.)
