I don't know if I'll be able to get a sodey as I'm meeting up with other folks at the show, but I'll be at Battery Park.  I really hope they do The World is in the Turlet.  My friend said they did it in Boston opening for Pearl Jam, so my expectations are high.

I went and it was really fun! It was very cool to meet those FOTs that I hadn't met before. Wish I could've stuck around with you guys longer.

Mr. Leo did in fact play "The World is in the Turlet" (by request!) and it was a new kind of awesome. Great to see all the confused faces in the crowd.

For those of you that couldn't make it, I've done my part to bring a little of the experience to you (don't get your hopes up).

It was great meeting you, Ramsobot. You're a good guy. Next time we'll drink a lot of soda and run around in circles.

And yes, that is how Mr. Ted sings.

I couldn't find Tea's Tea, so I brought an Honest Tea.  Then Spoony called me a hypocrite because I drink "Honest Tea", but have a stolen mp3 player from Walmart.  So yeah, just as funny in person.  ;)

*Edit    -    Actually, I'm not positive it was Spoony..   ???

HEY!  I'm sorry I couldn't be part of the meetup, but I'm glad you guys could all make it - I definitely saw Emma in the crowd at some point and kept meaning to give a shout out to the FOTs, but I kept getting all discombobulated and forgot - I IDN'T EVEN DO IT FOR "TURLET!"  I'm an idiot - forgive me!
It was a fun night, though, no?  I think I lost about 5 pounds...
Now write me a receipt so I can tip on outta here...

Me: Hey door people, I'm on the list. Probably as Emma.

Door People: Just "emma"?

Me: Yeah, I think so.

Door People, skeptically: Okay, we'll check. (pause) Wait, is this you?

Me: What?

Door People: "Emma From Toronto"?

Me: (uncontrollable giggling)

Door People: (perplexed)

Thank you so much, TL! It was an AMAZING show and a great way to sort of cap off my time in the city (i leave on sunday  :'(). And thank you FOTs who came to the meetup, too--it was great to, um, meet up with all of you. You're super cool.

TL, you were at the the meet-up. You were on stage playing... doing more at the meet-up than any of us. We just stood there. You worked harder than your own sweat wristband. That thing gave up half-way through.

I've never seen you and the Rx play before, and I was knocked out. No joke. I can't wait for the next time.

We met Alan Vega from Suicide at a nearby dive bar afterwards, which was unintentionally hilarious. It was a night of adventure.

Emma is sweeter in person than anyone can imagine. It's our loss that she's leaving so soon. You couldn't ask for an a group as easy-going as the FOT's I met last night.

Gravy, I can be an ass. I have no idea how to joke with people... sorry. Keep kicking against the man.

If you have any level of hero worship for the guy, be glad you weren't there. He's seen better days.

He could have imagined he was Doc Oc or Roy Orbison like we did to make it go down smoother. Or get in a finger-pointing argument with him like Neil did over the Philadelphia Eagles

I cannot even begin to find the proper words with which to express my regret over leaving before this happened.
