I played it last night also. It had been awhile and I'd forgotten just how unimpeachably solid an album it is.

There was a period of several months when I used to listen to nothing but Blood Visions on my drive to work. Though I loathed having to wake up early for work, I'd get excited by the thought of getting in the car and blasting that CD. It was such a reliable album and I got so attached to it.

Hey, I was just listening to the mono version of Easter Everywhere.  But now I'm listening to this:



A little overproduced in what I imagine is an attempt to achieve a late 80s/early 90s college rock sound.  But still pretty great.

From what I understand, these dudes are media darlings. I almost saw them play in New York during CMJ (or was that Surf City? Subquestion: What's with all the beach/surf themed/named bands coming up over the past few years?) but didn't. Anyway, I think I like it. I'm not really sure yet (only played it once) but I'm definitely gonna give it another spin.
