Avalanche Bob 33 is all I ever wanted and never knew I needed.

If only Avalanche Bob could meet his musical kindred spirit Stevie Blue.

The show started strong out of the gate with "Diary of a Puppet Master," and I loved the idea of Lloyd Benson telling Dan Quayle he couldn't carry Kennedy's jock- but the Avalanche Bob 33 call was some next-level sh*t.

Does anybody know the specific quote, did he really mention a jock?

No talk of jocks, just a general contempt of Quayle by Bentsen.....which in the light of future events, was justly earned.

"Right now, I'm touching Dane Cook's black Lamborghini.  I'm now touching it and listen right now, I'm now running my key down the side."  That was said by Marc Maron. On the Best Show. Our Best Show. God Bless America and God Bless Marc Maron and the Best Show.  And fuuuuuuuuck Dane Cook, right?!?

I was really hoping Horatio Sanz's phone font was going to turn out to be Comic Sans, because GET IT GUYS??? MY NAME'S "SANZ" AND I'M A COMIC, SO IT'S LIKE THE FONT'S NAMED AFTER ME!!!

But it turned out to be something similar to Comic Sans, only strangely more unsettling.

I am choosing to believe the the Avalanche 33 part of AvalancheBob33 is a tribute to how many members of the Polyphonic Spree passed atop Mount Everest while opening for Mother 13. That whole call was great, especially Tom immediately sensing that this was going to be good and giving Avalanche Bob space to work, but then diving in to stop the guy from giving out his home phone number over the air.

Boring callers are the kinds of callers the show doesn't need. People obliviously trying to explain things to Tom and either getting carefully led to the slaughter or outright nuked for it is a vital part of the show in the right doses.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Sheldon Jennings' bibliography and filmography absolutely killed me. I was sitting in a drive through listening in my car when that call happened and loudly snorted when I went to order something. Wurster's lists are just getting better and better.

Other highlights include the blinding lunacy of Avalanche Bob. My jaw was hanging open when he started to sing and Tom declaring the show dead after he hung up was just the icing on the cake. The guy getting gomped after he said he liked Family Guy, all the Ringo and Muppet hate, "Was he a flasher?", Hermann the Frog, and the Maron call. That was a thing of beauty.

Random thought though, did Tom ever decide what he was going to consume for Mold Tommy?

Son Volt and Mr. Wilco made me lose it upon hearing.

Reading it, it was Sherlock Holmes Jr and the Mystery of the Smeared Face and Numbnuts.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I'm hoping that the weird Bee Gees lyrics and the Two Horns are combined into one thing somehow....something bizarre and transcendent.

Best: "Are you peepin'?  Is that whatcha do, walkin' around with a stepladder? Are you a peeper?  Ya peepin'?" during the last call was good but Tom's bid to take over from #ReplaceHarry on the Simpsons was great.  Started as a joke but had me thinking of the possibilities...

Worst: Except for Kritty and Matthew Tomkins, could've shut the phones off last night and it wouldn't make much of a difference.
