He said his mom gave him the name Amadeus and accused her of being a hippie.

Pretty sure he claimed his mother was in the Broadway show of Amadeus when she was pregnant, which is why she named him Amadeus.  I noticed a few weeks ago when his wife called to beg for his ban to be lifted, she called him by his real name.  I was so bummed Tom didn't catch it and impose a lifetime ban.  He did seem rather happy this time around to be banned.  I wonder if he was offended his name wasn't considered as one of the regulars, and called in with a boring call to make sure he could get banned.

So, it was a lie of omission then.

The Ban seems to be giving Tom more room to spread out and be Tom. Which is fun to hear. This has given us some great stories and moments over the last couple of shows.

Even after the bans expire, I think the "no calling on back to back weeks unless you have something big" rule will help with that as well.

Don't worry, Homeboy, you can still cruise the Dave from Knoxville bus by every other week with small things if need be.

I love Chestnut Mare. One of my favorite choruses ever. I loved Tom's critique though but I hate it when he gets someone on the phone and they feel they have to automatically think everything is as stupid as he says it is. Viva la Byrds!

the improvised lyrics to the Pet Sounds instrumentals was definitely what I needed to hear after a very, very long day.

Best: all the "Chestnut Mare" stuff.

Worst: The guy who called in to talk about the West Memphis 3. What could he have been thinking? "I know, I'll call in to a comedy show to talk about an infamously depressing murder trial. And better yet, since I know the recent verdict has made a lot of people happy, I'll dump on it. It'll be great!"
